We are currently under the direction of Scott Schmitt. Mr. Schmitt is a1995 North Posey High School graduate.  After graduation from North Posey he went on to earn his Bachelors of Music Education at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. After this, he went on to attain his Masters of Music Education degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.  He then came to North Posey as our assistant director in 2003. After a short stint as the assistant director he assumed the head director position when the current head director left to become an assistant principal at another local high school.  In his first official week as head director, the band went to state finals. The Marching Vikings have not missed a year at state since 2003.
